INSTRUCTIONS

1. Start with picking a theme for your class.

2. Divide the class into teams of 3.  Ask the students to create a story around the theme. It could be a made up story or a story who describes a problem and maybe suggestions on how to solve the problem (depending on the age of the students).

3. Tell the students to go out and look for items (treasures) representing the main things in their story. Set a time when the should be back.

4. Let the groups present their findings and let them tell their stories to the class and explain why they chose their items. This will bring interesting perspectives or topics to talk about.
